The Wellesley College Shakespeare Society Alumnae Association has a new board. Read our bios below, and please join us in thanking our outgoing Alum Board (President Clare Urion McCully ‘81, Treasurer Nancy Simons ‘75, Secretary Tina Sabin Governo ‘86, and Householder Jenny Lund) for their leadership over the past 25+ years. Their stewardship of the House and the Alumnae Association truly exemplified our credo of faith and service.

We're proud to introduce our new Alumnae Board as of June 2019:
President: Leah Hamilton French, Class of 2011
A proud member of Sonnet LX (aka “love and fluffy bunnies”), Leah is committed to creating opportunities for communication and engagement between alumnae and undergraduate members of the Society. Leah is a program manager at an arts-learning non-profit by day and is working towards her MA in Theatre Education & Applied Theatre at Emerson College by night.
Secretary: Julie R. (Mann) Brown, Class of 1991
Julie serves as alumnae board Secretary, taking meeting notes to chronicle interactions between alumnae and board members. She is an office manager at Mass General Brigham during the week, and lives in Bedford, MA, with her carpenter husband. Her favorite Shakes memory is directing A Midsummer Night’s Dream during her last semester at Wellesley.
Treasurer: Melissa Chu, Class of 2010
Melissa will be balancing her fiscal responsibilities as Treasurer with her career as a licensed corporate banker. She is invested in the future of the Society and hopes to be an asset by leveraging her financial analysis and accounting skills. Melissa is a proud member of Sonnet LXV, a Shakespearean family far less dramatic than the one featured in her favorite play, King Lear.
Householder: Sarah Moazeni, Class of 2010
Sarah (Sonnet LIV) is the alumnae board Householder. In that role, she supports students in their maintenance of the house and helps identify ongoing house needs. She’s currently a librarian at the College and her favorite Shakespeare memory is of her first St. Crispin’s Day.
Communications Chair: Vannessa Greenleaf, Class of 2014
Vannessa is excited to bring her experience working as a project manager on digital products to her role as Communications Chair. She remembers her time in the Shakespeare Society fondly, especially directing a Hatfields and McCoys themed Romeo and Juliet her senior year. Her favorite play is Titus Andronicus. She’s part of the Sonnet XXIV family, aka “24 Karat Magic.”
